How does it happen that a long-time software industry veteran, application developer and social media application entrepreneur end up in fashion? Well it happened…

I met Katy Kendrick through some mutual friends and was immediately taken by her passion for this project. The intersection of one’s fashion sense, or lack thereof, and “feelings”. The “feelings” component really speaks to how one carries/presents themselves, the expression “she wears her heart on her sleeve” comes to mind.

After careful consideration and some recent work with AI development, the idea of marrying it all together and making a web application was born. As a rule, I don’t engage in the development of any software product that doesn’t deliver value and speak to consumer needs/solutions/answers. When it comes to fashion, this seems to be an age-old problem for many of us and strangely, it’s something that doesn’t get better across generations. What to wear is on the same level as what is for dinner for some people, developing an anxiety response just thinking about the process of clothing shopping.

Now as part of FMF, I get to explore the world of fashion and its connection to the individual. Leveraging vast textile materials databases, manufacturers, fashion catalogs, and designer input, then mashing this with the works of world-renowned fashion icons and hand selected psychological reference materials on the subject, we render the answers people are looking for RIGHT IN THE DRESSING ROOM!

It’s a ton of fun….
